LETTERS TO MACAU
Public Installation
Conceived as a civic device rather than an object, this installation transformed a familiar urban typology into a collective address system. Citizens were invited to write to the city as one might write to a confidant, projecting desires, frustrations, and affections onto an imagined recipient. These handwritten messages were deposited, mailed, and publicly displayed, slowly accumulating into an evolving urban archive. Through this simple yet charged act, private sentiments entered public space, reframing the city not as abstract infrastructure but as a relational entity shaped by care, complaint, longing, and shared imagination.
